I've been spending most of my free time sewing Christmas presents this past couple of weeks. I made a bunch of these kidlets for some close family friends.
These are cute little totes, and I think they would be adorable hanging on a hook beside each child's bed or on the doorknobs to their bedrooms.
These really were so much fun to make! They came together so quickly. I used a bunch of natural colored linen that I had on hand along with some leftover fabrics from my scrap box.

I think I can hang these on the headrests in the van so that the boys can store their game boys and earphones for the overhead video player in them.

I first read about the Kidlet bags back in June 2010. Made 12 of them for my afternoon kindergarten. Small class due to housing being refurbished on military post. About 20 students in the morning class so, sorry to say, but I ran out of energy and didn’t do Kidlet bags for that class. I filled the bags with pictures I had taken of the students and added small books in each one. I gave them to students on the last day of school. Students and parents loved them. Fast forward to 2025. Now retired and in need of some new grocery totes and looked at several free online patterns. None of the patterns had the directions and the PICS for each step like yours. So I enlarged the measurements, added a handle on both sides and now have great grocery bags! Thank goodness I saved a copy of the article with all of the steps. Thank you again for the detailed instructions and pics.
