Double hourglass.

I'm so excited about my newest quilt! I've always loved double hourglass quilts, but never wanted to put the time and effort into the piecing. I had been bouncing ideas around in my head for awhile, figuring out how to make them easier. When I came across this tutorial at CluckCluckSew, I was so excited! This was exactly what I had been thinking, but hadn't taken the time to figure it out! It is quick and easy, and the blocks are beautiful.

I am using my Pop Garden (by Heather Bailey) scraps from previous rag quilts sold in my etsy shop. This is one of my all-time favorite lines of fabric. I decided to add some American Jane Pez, Flea Market Fancy sprouts, and japanese hedgehogs.
These are my favorite blocks so far:

I have about half of the squares assembled, so I have lots of sewing ahead of me. Sounds like a perfect way to spend a rainy autumn afternoon to me!
