Binding.

So close! The binding is sewn onto the front of the quilt, and now I get so spend some quality, hand-sewing time on the couch to finish it off. I chose one of my favorite fabrics from American Jane, and so far I am loving how it frames the quilt. Hopefully I'll have some finished quilt pictures to show you very soon!

Have a happy Monday!

birthday boys

February is such a fun month in our house. Weston turned 4 and Elijah 2. I just can't believe that they are so big! It is so much fun having these two little guys in the house. Never a dull moment!
If you haven't heard our wonderful news yet.... Baby #3 is on the way! I am almost halfway through my pregnancy, and my due date is in mid July. After a rough first trimester (I always get very very sick), I am now starting to feel like myself again. I'm finally well enough to sew, crochet, and blog again. Sorry I disappeared for awhile there!
And for my awesome customers, I promise to get back to work on the shop. Yes, I realize that I only have a few quilts available, but I will get back to work very very soon. Keep your eye out for a big shop update within the next couple weeks! :)

almost done!

I've been having a VERY productive week... and it is only Tuesday! I spent a couple hours working on my double hourglass quilt this morning. I started it a couple months ago, but then it got pushed to the side during the holidays. This morning I was able to baste and quilt it, and now all that is left to do is the binding! Speaking of binding, I better get off the computer and get back to work... Need to take advantage of the boys' naptime! :)

couch time

I was able to get a little stitching done this week. I've had these amazing patterns for quite awhile now, and haven't gotten a chance to sit down with them. It has been a pretty cold week here, and I've been able to have some quality couch-time... you know, lots of quilts, afghans, hot drinks, and a needle and thread.

The pattern is from Kurt Halsey, and I purchased it here.

I'm back!

Hi friends, I am back. We finally got a new laptop, after being without one for almost a month. I've been able to keep up with the shop through my iPod Touch, which was a Christmas gift from my sweet husband. But besides that, I have been MIA. Blogging on that little screen was just not going to happen.

Truthfully, I have not been doing too much sewing. I think the winter blahs have hit the house, you know? This table quilt was an afternoon project earlier on in the week. I used a full charm pack from Moda's Swell line, along with some houndstooth backing from Summer in the City, another beautiful line from Moda. The bright, spring colors add a nice splash of color to the house during this cold month.

One year.

Hi friends! I have missed you. It has been almost a month since I've written, and there has been so much going on! I promise to go into more details very very soon, but let me just tell you... I've been a busy girl. But that isn't what this post is about. More on that later.

I'm so happy to be celebrating the one year anniversary of my etsy shop, Raggedy Owl. I can hardly believe that one year ago today I had my first sale. Thanks to my amazing customers, I have been fortunate enough to reach close to 400 sales. So to my family, friends, and loyal customers, I hope you know how much I truly appreciate all of your support and encouragement.

To thank you for your support during this first year, I thought I'd have a giveaway! Here's what is up for grabs (click on photos for more info):

There will be TWO winners this time. The first winner gets to choose either the Juicy Apple Collection or the Bamboo Scrubbies. The second winner gets the leftover set. And BOTH winners will receive a jumbo bookmark or two. Does that work for you?

How to enter...

For one entry: Leave a comment on this post.

For two entries: Sign up as a follower to the Raggedy Owl blog (make sure you leave me a second comment so that you get that second entry. And if you already follow, just let me know!)

For three entries: Write about this giveaway on your blog (and like I said before, make sure you leave an extra comment so that you get that third entry!)

So there ya go! Last day to sign up for the giveaway will be December 30, 2009. Good luck!
