My eldest son Weston started his last year of preschool this week. He is gone three mornings a week this year, which seems to be just right for now.Next year he will be off to kindergarten. Just a little update for this post on the baby girl. Naptime has been wonderful since she has been napping on her belly. In general, they are 2-4 hours (I know!!!) and and seems more rested and happy. That makes this mama very happy, which in turn makes everyone else in the house very happy. Ahhh, I absolutely love these little ladybugs by Tula Pink. I came across these lovely little ladies this past week, and I am so happy to add them to my fabric stash. Apparently Finley likes to sleep on her belly! The past few days I've decided to let her nap on her stomach, just to see how she likes it... and apparently she does. Here is Elijah's quilt. It is 100% inspired by Allison's. I totally fell in love with the pattern she used and knew that I had to make one for little Eli. It matches Weston's quilt, and is made of the same fabrics, backing, and binding.The overallsize of the quilt is also slightly narrower than a twin (to fit their bunkbed).

So close! The binding is sewn onto the front of the quilt, and now I get so spend some quality, hand-sewing time on the couch to finish it off. I've been having a VERY productive week... and it is only Tuesday! I spent a couple hours working on my double hourglass quilt this morning. I started it a couple months ago, but then it got pushed to the side during the holidays. This morning I was able to baste and quilt it, and now all that is left to do is the binding! Speaking of binding, I better get off the computer and get back to work...

I was able to get a little stitching done this week. I've had these amazing patterns for quite awhile now, and haven't gotten a chance to sit down with them. It has been a pretty cold week here, and I've been able to have some quality couch-time... you know, lots of quilts, afghans, hot drinks, and a needle and thread.The pattern is from Kurt Halsey, and I purchased it here.

I made a third and final doll quilt for Christmas yesterday. I decided to go on with a snowball quilt in shades of pale pink and blue. I haven't made this pattern in awhile, and I forgot how fun it is! It is a great way to display larger prints, like the starlings and wallflowers.
